Meta AI rolls out in the EU

With... slight restrictions.

Welcome back.

Meta AI finally arrived in Europe, but it's not exactly the full package.

Limited by privacy rules, it’s a more basic chatbot than a creative AI sidekick.

Will Europeans be able to enjoy Meta AI features available in the US?

Let’s find out.

In today’s release:

1. Meta AI expands to the EU

2. Generate consistent AI videos

3. Asus unveils an AI mini-supercomputer

Meta AI expands to the EU with limited features

Meta AI is finally launching in the European Union, rolling out across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. However, due to strict privacy regulations, it arrives with a more limited feature set than in the US.

Unlike its US counterpart, Meta AI in the EU has not been trained on user data due to GDPR restrictions. As a result, it functions solely as a chatbot, answering general queries in six languages, but lacks features like AI-generated images or stylistic selfies.

  • Limited features: No AI-generated images or personalized content.

  • Supported languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian.

  • Staggered rollout: First on WhatsApp, then other platforms.

Meta AI will work in one-on-one and group chats, allowing users to ask questions by tagging "@MetaAI" in messages. Meta says this is just the first step, hinting at future updates to align with its US version, though regulatory battles may slow that down.

How can you use this to your advantage?

If you're in the EU, Meta AI offers a built-in search tool across Meta’s apps, helping you find information quickly. However, full AI capabilities may come later, as Meta works to comply with European regulations.

Krea’s Video Training lets you customize AI videos

Krea has launched Video Training, a new feature that lets you train Wan 2.1 on your own videos. Now, you can teach the AI custom styles, motions, and objects, giving you precise control over how it generates video.

Users can upload images or videos to Krea’s training platform. If you upload images, the AI learns style only, while videos allow it to capture both style and motion. Key settings like trigger prompts and step count can fine-tune the results for better accuracy.

  • Optimal settings: Keep steps at 250-300 to avoid overtraining.

  • Motion prompts: Use "dynamic movement" or "high-speed scene" for stronger motion effects.

  • Trigger prompt: Choose a good trigger prompt that is related to the input content.

Once training is complete, your custom style is available for Krea Video generations. You can adjust style strength and ensure smooth motion with the right prompts, giving you unprecedented creative flexibility.

How can you use this to your advantage?

For artists, filmmakers, and content creators, this means fully personalized AI-generated videos. Whether you want a signature look, custom animations, or fluid motion, Krea Video Training lets you shape AI output like never before.

Asus unveils Ascent GX10

Asus has introduced the Ascent GX10, a mini-supercomputer powered by NVIDIA’s GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. Designed for AI developers, this compact device delivers “petaflops-level” computing power in a form factor that fits on a desk.

The GX10 features 1,000 AI TOPS processing power and 128GB of unified system memory, making it ideal for training, tuning, and running massive AI models. It can reportedly handle AI models up to 200 billion parameters on its own, and when linked with another GX10, it can scale up to models like Llama 3.1’s 405 billion parameters.

  • Massive memory: 128GB of unified system memory for large AI workloads.

  • Scalability: Two GX10 units can link together for even larger AI models.

  • Seamless transition: Works locally or integrates with cloud AI environments.

Asus aims to provide developers with a compact yet powerful AI workstation that enables advanced model development, fine-tuning, and real-time inferencing. The GX10 is expected to be a cost-effective alternative to large-scale cloud computing.

How can you use this to your advantage?

The GX10 brings on-premise AI power without the need for expensive cloud resources. It enables faster iteration, lower latency, and greater control over AI model development, all from your desk.
